Best Island Destination in Asia Pacific

Bali again crowned as the Best Island Destination in Asia Pacific (Best Island Destination in Asia-Pacific Asia Pacific) at The Fifth Annual DestinAsian Readers' Choice Awards, February 8, 2010. Awards are based on the magazine's readers choice award DestinAsian is the third time for the same category, namely in 2007, 2009 and 2010. In 2006 and 2008 Bali was voted Best Leisure DestinAsian.


Present to receive the award is the Director of Market Development, Ministry of Culture and Tourism, Syamsul Lussa. Ronald Liem, Publisher concurrently DestinAsian Media Group Managing Director said the award has its own value given the economic conditions and changes that arise in the world tourism over the past year.

The awards that have been carried out five times this also shows that many business people and travelers who continue exploring the Asia Pacific region and enjoy the diversity of attractions on offer.

Readers choice awards in 2010 chose Bangkok as Best City Destination for Leisure and Singapore as the Best City Destination for Business in Asia Pacific. Singapore Airlines was also named the Best Airline, Best In-Flight Entertainment, Best Economy Class, Premium Class and Best Airline Travel. Singapore's Changi Airport won the award for Best Airport in Asia-Pacific.

In addition to the above categories, The Fifth Annual DestinAsian Readers' Choice Awards also selected a number of the best hotel. Grand Hyatt Jakarta and Four Seasons Resort Bali at Sayan was selected as the best hotel in Jakarta and Bali. Similar award is given to the best hotels in 17 cities in Asia Pacific.

The Fifth Annual DestinAsian Readers' Choice Awards conducted through a survey of readers during the last half of 2009 to explore the tourist destinations, hotels, spas and their favorite airline in the Asia Pacific region. DestinAsian magazine is one of the leading travel magazine is published two times a month with a readership of more than 120 thousand, with primary distribution in the Asia Pacific region.
