East Java : Jawa Timur, : Jawa Wétan is a province of Indonesia. It is located on the eastern part of the island of Java and includes neighboring Madura and islands to its east the Kangean and Sapudi groups and to its north Bawean and the Masalembu Islands.It state in the West neighbor of Bali, across the small Strait of Bali. East Java has a variety of attractions, from temple sites to scenic beaches, a sand-sea, highland-lakes, volcanoes, marine gardens and wildlife reserves. Magnificent mountain scenery include the crater and sea of sand at Mount Bromo, the “sulfur mountain” Welirang and rugged lien Plateau. Little of the former glory of Majapahit Empire, still stands in East Java to day with the exception of temple ruins and some archaeological discoveries
The most popular and well known of East Java's tourist attractions is undoubtedly Bromo Mountain. The pre-dawn departure and trek across the mountain's famous 'sand sea', to watch the sunrise at the crater rim, has become something of a ritual, enacted daily by people of every nationality.
Kawah Ijen is the world's largest highly acidic lake and is the site of a labor-intensive sulfur mining operation in which sulfur-laden baskets are hand-carried from the crater floor. Coffee plantations cover much of the Ijen caldera floor, and tourists are drawn to its waterfalls, hot springs, and dramatic volcanic scenery.

The sub marine monument is located in the bank of Kalimas River, on the east corner of Surabaya Plaza. A real Russian submarine in the Indonesia's Navy Armada (1952). Purwodadi Botanical Garden
Founded in 1941 for the study of plants growing under relatively dry conditions, lie about 30 kms northeast of Malang, just off the Surabaya to Malang main road. They cover an area of about 85 ha (212 acres).

Comprising mangrove, savanna, lowland monsoon forests and excellent beaches, the park's name means First Forest in Javanese. Javanese legend says that the earth first emerged from the ocean here.
Baluran National Park - This 250 km2 (97 sq mi) national park is located in north east Java, once known as Indonesia's little piece of Africa, the parks formerly extensive savanna has been largely replaced by Acacia.
Bromo Tengger Semeru National Park - Located in East Java at the region of Probolinggo and Pasuruan, 70 km (43 mi) from Surabaya the capital city of East Java province.
